# Prompt Engine Now Supports Up to 500,000 Characters!

We're excited to announce an increase in the total input limit for [Prompt Engine](https://jigsawstack.com/docs/api-reference/prompt-engine/create) is now up from 30,000 to **500,000** **characters**. This update means your prompts, combined with input values, can now handle much larger datasets and more complex interactions.

## Why This Matters

Previously, the 30,000-character limit applied only to the prompt itself, restricting the depth of content you could process. With the new 500,000-character total limit, you have far more flexibility to:

* Include expansive context in your inputs.

* Handle intricate workflows with extensive data.

* Power applications requiring richer, more nuanced outputs.

Whether you're using Prompt Engine for research or enterprise-scale automations, this upgrade opens up more possibilities.
